Job Description

Position: Mental Health Therapist
Location: Portsmouth, RI/hybrid
Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions to clients experiencing a range of mental health issues.

  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.

  • Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose and identify issues contributing to clients' mental health challenges.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals and community resources as needed to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

  • Stay current with best practices in mental health treatment and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Current state licensure (or associate license) as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent).

  • Experience in providing therapy in a private practice or clinical setting preferred.

  • Strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities and techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to client confidentiality and ethical standards.
